Fandoms

Good day to all! And to all a good fan! I'm running out of intros guys, I don't know what to do... Well, I am entering into many new fandoms soon... At least I hope so! I'm reading The Great Gatsby and I'm hoping to get my hands on The Fault in Our Stars... I also want to read the Mortal Instruments series because I haven't yet! Can you believe it? Anyway... I have come to speak (type, whatever) to you all about... dundududuuuunnn! Fandoms!

Because they are absolutely insane. Fandoms. They make us laugh, and cry, and do anything in between. They make us FEEL. They make us feel awesome, or awful, or sad, or happy, or absolutely miserable. And we still love them. They are absolutely torturous to fangirls everywhere. Being in a fandom, and reading a book or watching an episode is like having your emotions torn out and dragged across rough gravel and then into an alleyway where they are promptly mugged by our favorite authors or screenwriters. Our poor OTPs and favorite characters are beaten, battered, and in extreme cases, killed. And still we come back for more. We crave each installation, as long as it takes in the coming. No matter how many deaths, how many couples ripped apart, we come crawling back to our fandoms, our hearts a little more broken every time, and beg for the next part. We wait, and watch, and listen, for any leaked preview, any short story, any little bit of heart-wrenching sustenance that we can hold close to us as we wait for the next episode, the next book, the next whatever. Because we need it. Fandoms put meaning into our lives. They make them livable. Because what is life without a good book? A good show? A good fandom? Nothing! You get up you go to work, you come home and go to sleep every day until you die. You need fandoms. Because no matter how much they torture your soul, they are necessary. Because as much as we wish we wouldn't cry over (spoiler I guess) Dobby's death, or Tris being shot, we also want to. We want to be part of our fandoms, and deep in our souls we need to. We hope that this time we won't cry, this time everything will be fine. But it won't. And we're okay with that. Because emotions are human. Fandoms keep us human.
